Volleyball Ireland: Phase 2 Statement

Volleyball Ireland welcomes the announcement from Government, that from Monday 8th June, Ireland will move into Phase 2 of the Roadmap for re-opening business and society.

We are currently awaiting further guidance from Sport Ireland in relation to what this means for Vollleyball in Ireland specifically.

For clarity, the playing of the Volleyball matches and/or sharing of equipment, such as volleyballs is not yet permitted.

Volleyball Ireland is working with Sport Ireland and the Government to produce return to play protocols, that will allow the full resumption of our sport, at a time that is safe to do so.

The Beach Tour Management group is currently working on a revised calendar and competition structure. Details of this, and the 2020 registration process will be announced in due course.
